Orange wine is likely the oldest type of wine in history. In the early days of winemaking, destemming grapes was impractical. Our ancestors gathered fully ripened white grapes and fermented them with skins and stems intact, resulting in what we now call orange wine. The wine series is inspired by the film trilogy of the same name: Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, and Before Midnight.
challenge

This design project aims to explore the synesthetic effect of transcending human senses by visually representing the sky at different times of the day to convey the distinct taste experiences of the three orange wines.
approach

Abstract expression, akin to Impressionism, captures the fleeting qualities of light and atmosphere, focusing on mood and sensation rather than literal depiction. This approach aligns well with synesthesia, where visual elements evoke sensory experiences like taste.
sense

The play of light and subtle shifts in color are central to both Impressionist art and the changing skies throughout the day. This creates a natural, poetic parallel to the nuanced flavors and explore the synesthetic effect of transcending human senses.

well-being

Incorporating the synesthetic blending of senses into wellness practices can thus help individuals experience the world more richly, leading to greater mental well-being, enhanced creativity, and improved cognitive health.
Cutting-edge

it taps into the latest advances in neuroscience, sensory design, and human-computer interaction, reshaping the way we perceive and enhance our experiences.
